Loyalti ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Loyalti mobile application and website at loyalti.co.za. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform.

By using Loyalti, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

We collect the following information when you register and use Loyalti:

Account information — your name and email address when you register as a customer or business owner
Usage data — voucher codes you redeem, stamps collected, rewards earned, and ratings submitted
Feedback and complaints — any complaints or feedback you submit through the platform
Device data — basic device information used to identify your session and prevent fraud

We do not collect your phone's location, contacts, camera images, or any other sensitive device data.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your loyalty account
Track your stamp progress and reward eligibility
Send complaints and feedback to the relevant business owner
Notify business owners of new feedback via email or WhatsApp
Improve the Loyalti platform and fix technical issues
Prevent fraudulent use of voucher codes

3. Information sharing

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

When you submit a complaint or feedback, your name (if provided) and message are shared with the business owner of the relevant business. This is the core function of the platform.

We may share information if required by South African law or in response to a valid legal request.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in South Africa. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords to protect your information.

Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using your phone's secure storage system and are never stored in plain text.

5. Data retention

We retain your account information and stamp history for as long as your account is active. If you would like your data deleted, please contact us at hello@loyalti.co.za and we will remove your account and associated data within 30 days.

6. Children's privacy

Loyalti is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Third-party services

Loyalti may contain links to third-party services such as Google Reviews and WhatsApp. These services have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review their policies before using them.

8. Your rights (POPIA)

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information
Object to the processing of your personal information
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa
